  I can't understand why each person has to have their own red wine and bread.

  Surely (when we were in) we were always told that the other sheep were only there as respectful observers. So if they are zooming it either from Warwick or from a local location, can't the OS just observe?

  As for putting emphasis on "passing the emblems" that is the height of nonsense. It makes a tradition out of moving a plate/tumbler back and forth! What is meant to be the spiritual significance of that? 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  Wasn't there a recent WT article someone mentioned it on here recently where they link not giving up your worldly friends to sinning against God!?

  Just found it after a bit of a search, December 2020, page 9. "There is a lesson for us today: No good can come from choosing as regular associates those who have a live-for-the-moment outlook. Being with such ones can ruin a true Christian’s viewpoint and habits. In fact, it might lead him to have a lifestyle that includes what God hates​—sin. Thus, Paul strongly urged: “Come to your senses in a righteous way and do not practice sin.” - 1 Cor 15:33, 34."

  i came across this older wt which i assume c t russell wrote the article.

  unlike modern practitioners of numerology who calculate a value for each letter of the alphabet, russell simply adds up the number of letters in each word to arrive at [horror of horrors] 666.. and he lists there on the page each one of the organisations that must accordingly be part of the great harlot with 18 letters [in english] in their titles, because 18 is clearly 6+6+6 or 666!

  strangely he hasn't stopped to think about another possibility for an 18 letter title.

  It'd make you laugh, except for the fact that people took everything Russell said as if it was coming from the mouth of Jehovah. A flawed way of thinking that permeates right down to this day.

  Don't you think it's funny how the witnesses can buy an old church, renovate it, and then re-dedicate it as a house for Jehovah.

  However when the early Christian churches took a pagan sun festival and re-dedicated it to their own son of God birthday - the witnesses now point the finger at the churches and criticise them.

  what questions should be asked to a jehovah`s witness when confronted with them.. a jw gives his sermon.

  "you" immediately ask him by what authority he has from god that you should take notice of him ,seeing their are over 40,000 different christian religions in the world who claim to represent god,.

  I don't think there's any questions that get through to the dyed in the wool JW because they believe that shit 100% as I used to do also.

  With me it was looking at Scriptures and looking at the org. Jesus said "come to me all you who are toiling and loaded down and I will refresh you." Why did I seldom feel refreshed after attending the meetings? Why were we being loaded down with petty rules? And why did Jesus say "come to me" when we were knocking on doors telling people to "come to the WT organisation“? That is just one example.

  actually no one does.. i know this is a concept that can be hard for some to grasp, considering all other forms of organizations like sole proprietorship, general partnership, an llc, or a for profit corporation.

  these organizations are created legally for the simple purpose of making a profit.. but unlike a for profit corporation,---- a nonprofit corporation is formed to carry out-.

  whether that be religious, educational, charitable, scientific or other qualifying purpose.

  Past Watchtower Society Comments On Vaccines

  today there is a lot of hope placed in a vaccines to immunise against covid 19 , and relief that they are soon to be available.

  that will be shared by the eight million or so jws in this world.

  they should be thankful that the wts has moved away from its teaching ,that lasted for decades , proclaiming that vaccination was wrong, and a tool of satan.

  I was once told by a long serving missionary that the society changed its policy in or around the late 1940s / early 1950s because it dawned on them that missionaries going to foreign fields with dangerous diseases would need to be vaccinated. Suddenly the light became clearer and voilà! vaccinations were acceptable for them all to receive.
